Eggshell  uncovers the brutal narrative of a young boy, confined behind the shadows of a basement cage. Standing as more than just a screenplay, this experimental piece challenges conventional norms with a deliberate reconstruction of verb tense, symbolism, abbreviations, aesthetic choices, and more. Embracing the filmmaker’s power of creative visualization over explicit directive instruction, this piece is designed to evoke potent and vivid imagery within the minds of directors, actors, and crews. The intent is clear: to translate my vision most effectively into the capable hands that will contribute to its realization.

 

What sets Eggshell  apart from traditional screenplays is its poetic descriptions, hypnotic structure, and narrative that weaves stories within stories, constructing an immersive and encapsulating universe. The inclusion of poetic descriptions that lie beyond the eye of the audience is designed to empower the filmmaking crew to cultivate a narrative that extends far beyond the surface of the main plot. Ambiguity is a deliberate tool, offering unique opportunities for world-building, allowing each member of the audience to engage in their interpretation of the details.

 

The hypnotic structure employs fixation inductions, relaxation inductions, and rapid inductions, creating a unique cinematic experience. The visual imagery and intentional ambiguity serve as conduits for heightened suggestibility, enabling each audience member to find a personal connection while collectively exploring overarching themes.

Inspired by Ghostemane's Anti-Icon album, Eggshell  is embellished with symbolism rooted in Alchemy, Buddhism, Astrology, and psychedelics. These elements ground the piece with a sense of the absolute, highlighting the cyclical nature of oneness and samsara.
